X-Cell Custom 60 R/C Helicopter

This is a like-new Miniature Aircraft Xcell Custom 60 with OS Max SX .61 engine, muffler, CF blades, and all electronics including:

  • JR R950S receiver on channel 44 (foam removed for photos)
  • Futaba GY501 Gyro
  • (5) JR DS8231 digital servos
  • Additional receiver, JR R600 6 channel, also on channel 44

This was my first chopper, I bought it new and assembled it with great care. I bought this bird to learn with because it's extremely stable, and so that I could progress into 3D without having to upgrade. I didn't fly it very much, about 40 or 50 flights, and got out of the hobby due to lack of time after I started a business and became a dad. So, this machine has never seen any hard flying, no extreme 3D. All I've done with it is pirouettes and gentle loops. That's as far as I got before I got out of the hobby. It has never been crashed. Just one semi-rough landing on the nose which left a small crack on the underside of the canopy, and that was prior to the custom paint job and clear coat. I did many of the flights with training gear, and spent lots of time in the simulator before trying anything other than hovering.

I'm selling it because I'm getting back into the hobby, but this machine is more than I need, since I'm probably going to stick with small electrics and fixed-wing models.

What's Needed

The following inexpensive items should be replaced before flying:

  • Main fuel tank (cap has a crack)
  • Header tank (has some fuel residue inside, could just be cleaned)
  • Fuel tubing
  • Fuel filters
