This map is a CTF conversion of the stock Defend and Destroy map called Bloody Vengeance. Description:
This map is a CTF conversion of the stock Defend and Destroy map called Siege. We have added a forcefield in the main flag room and a small sniper tower between the two bases. Oh_Heck's wardrobe furnished by Dynamix. NEW: After playtesting, we determined that it was too easy to set up defenses in the flag room. So, we took ALL inventory stations out of the bases. The only inventory stations now exist in a capturable tower in the center of the map, between the two bases.

Description:
This is the first of the custom maps from Quantum Core. It is a floating arena of small buildings connected by catwalks. Each building is either a capturable ojbective, or a flag base. The action is fast and furious here, and if you don't defend your flag well, you will fall behind quickly.
3/4/99 Bug Fix: On the first version the flag grabs were not counting in the team score, only the objective captures were. This has been fixed.
3/23/99 Modification: Fixed start point that was starting players in a wall. Added platforms to aid players in ascent back to the main playing platform.

Destroyers  Download - 7 Kb

Type:CTFLast Modified:Feb. 23, 1999 23:55
Filename:destroyers.zipFile Size:7 Kb
Description:
This map is almost totally custom, only utilizing 2 of the floating citadels from the mission of the same name. Each has been re-outfitted with an array of plasma turrets to look more like an offensive ship. All the turrets, except for the ones on the furthest points, are able to be completely obliterated, so a good base defense is key. One forward staging base is allocated to each team to aid in their offense toward the flag. The distances between the bases is great, so teamwork is essential to ensure multiple flag grabs.

This map uses the landscape of Snowblind, and that's it. The rest is totally custom. The name comes from 2 bases built onto the side of large cliffs, with an opening in the bottom (the building from Stonehenge), which promotes "skiing". Mastery of MORE than just the jet pack is crucial!
